smiles-sunsets-and-sarcasm:

That awful moment when you learn that this wasn’t scripted. That Will Smith’s character was actually supposed to brush off the whole thing, but Will’s father actually had left him when he was younger and he just fell apart on the set and the hug at the end was from one actor to another, not one character to another…

"I think one of the amazing things about Spider-Man is that you don’t see skin color when he’s in the suit. You don’t see any religious beliefs. You don’t see any denominations. Everyone can project themselves into that suit. It’s incredibly powerful in that way. So of course I think it’s important that the openness, the casting, in terms of who could be Spider-Man, could be absolutely anyone. A hero is a hero, whether you’re a man, woman, gay, lesbian, straight, black, white or red all over — it doesn’t matter."

Shay Kun, My Morning Nostalgia (2013)

"We almost get a little nostalgic, watching his beautiful images, remembering those days when we were little, sitting in the back of the car, gazing out of the window wile it was raining and the fuzzy, off-center colors behind the window started blurring with their surroundings. We remember the peaceful feeling that came along with it and also this sweet state of total passivity where your mind quietly travels its own ways." - iGnant

Harding Meyer, Paint Me a Portrait (2013-2014)

"Brazilian-born artist Harding Meyer lives and works in Berlin and Karlsruhe where he paints these stunning, large-scale oil portraits. I imagine nothing short of standing in front of these giant canvases truly does them justice, but you can see them in extremely high resolution over on Meyer’s blog." - Christopher Jobson
